PK Engineering were a service provider and offered electrical support through the installation of a newly designed biscuit handling system (BBC), an automated biscuit collation and feed system that delivers multiple streams of wrapped product, timed into the infeed of a carton filling machine.

The BBC was designed by UB’s Central Engineering Team using servo and motion control technologies to deliver extremely accurate drive dynamics while simplifying an operation that was previously labour-intensive and speed-constraining. The project has served to improve efficiency and generated head count savings across multiple lines throughout the operation.
